About The Owner

Laura Schoenborn

Laura is a Tucson native and has spent the majority of two decades working with individuals who suffer from a medical diagnosis that prevents them from participating in a traditional exercise program.  Some of these conditions include, stroke, cardiac events, cardiopulmonary diseases, Parkinsons disease, cancer survivors, and rehab from musculoskeletal injuries and joint replacements.  Laura lost her father to cardiac disease when he was 54. Watching his journey without guidance in making healthy lifestyle changes is what motivated her to pursue a career in health and wellness.  After high school, Laura studied Exercise Science in the pre-med program for three years at Abilene Christian University.  When her father passed, she returned to Tucson to be with family and finish her education. Laura earned her bachelors degree from the University of Arizona in Communications, with a minor in Health and Wellness.  Later, her love of learning and dedication to evidence based practice, prompted her to get a graduate degree in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in Kinesiology and Nutrition.

As owner of Integrative Fitness Solutions, Laura works with clients of all ages and abilities.  Having recovered from injury and serious illness herself, Laura can empathize with her clients' struggles and concerns.  Relatability, combined with her expertise, enables her to design and implement safe, effective, and enjoyable fitness and nutrition programs tailored to each individual's needs.  She strives to provide every individual, regardless of their current state of health, the opportunity to improve their quality of life. Her clients have worked with her for many years and continue to see improvement in their physical fitness, nutritional habits, mental health and overall health.

Throughout her life, Laura has been a competitive athlete and now serves as a coach for high school varsity and club softball. Although she finds teaching the game and its strategies to be enjoyable and fulfilling, her true motivation to coach comes from empowering young women to cultivate important values such as work ethic, integrity, sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork. Furthermore, coaching provides her with an ideal platform to educate her athletes on healthy lifestyle choices and habits, which she believes are crucial for individuals of any age to prioritize in order to maintain good physical and mental health.
